The department is proud of its school of folk instrument playing. Well known in Ukraine and beyond are KhSAC folk instrument orchestra (director and conductor N. Miller and E. Savitska), Posipaky folk emsemble (N. Melnyk), guitar emsemble (P. Yukha), and other.

Students can earn Bachelor and Master degrees.
