The faculty of the theater arts comprises the following departments:

Kharkiv State Academy of Culture offers students the following Bachelor's degree programs: Directing of Entertainment and Mass Festivities and Actor Skill in Drama Theater & Cinema (duration: 4 years).
Career opportunities: Our graduates work as heads of cultural and art institutions, organizers of theater activities in arts and culture institutions, directors of mass cultural and educational events, holidays and festivities, actors at drama, music and drama theaters, children's and youth theaters, television serials and movie actors), television program hosts, television and radio announcers, art directors and organizers of the theater and film process, teachers of professional disciplines at higher and secondary specialized educational institutions.
"Academy" student theater is headed by Professor S. Gordeev, Honored Worker of Arts of Ukraine, Candidate of Art Criticism. This theater stages best works of Ukrainian and world literature.
An scientific-educational laboratory named "Ekmatedos" headed by Igor Borys, Honored Art Worker of Ukraine, is an experimental workshop of theatrical research. Its purpose is to study modern innovative methods of theater and cinema.
Among our teachers are some of the best actors of: Shevchenko Ukrainian Drama Theater. Pushkina Russian Drama Theater. Kharkiv Regional Theater for Children and Youth, Kharkiv Theater of Musical Comedy.
