The American organization Global Empowerment Mission (“GEM”) supports Ukrainians by providing numerous volunteer cargoes to the residents of the communities of the eastern region of the country, which suffered the most as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
Oleksandr Robertovych Bolbirer is the director of Global Empowerment Mission UA. His volunteer activities are known in many cities and villages of Ukraine, especially Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. On February 14, 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Philip of Poltava and Myrhorod awarded Fr. Alexander with a blessed letter.
Mr. Bolbirer repeatedly visited the Hero City of Kharkiv and visited the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture. Seeing the educational buildings and mutilated dormitories that were damaged during the shelling and bombing of Kharkiv. Oleksandr Robertovych did not stand aside and decided to support the Academy! Thanks to his help, broken windows were replaced in the KhSAC dormitory.

Mr. Oleksandr Robertovych Bolbirer acting Nataliya RYABUHA, rector of the KhSAC, presented thanks for the charitable assistance in restoring the windows of the dormitory No. 1 after the destruction due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation.

УРБАН ФРАЙ (Urban Frye) - deputy of the cantonal council of the Swiss city of Lucerne, founder of the Ukrainian cultural center "Prostir".
Immediately after the beginning of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Mr. Urban founded the Prostir cultural center in the city of Lucerne, which is now one of the most important contact points for the support of Ukrainians who escaped the war.Many Ukrainian students and teachers received help from the "Prostir" center. Among them were students of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, in particular winners and graduates of the department of choral conducting and academic singing Oleksiy Yatsyuk, Valeria Balyuk, Anastasia Khamidulina.
Mr. Urban was impressed by the strength, indomitability and iron-concrete power of the people of Kharkiv, as well as the efforts of educational institutions that maintain the cultural and informational front in the conditions of war. He could not stay away from the problems, losses and challenges that faced the Academy during the war and the merciless bombing of the city. Mr. Urban visited the Academy for the first time on March 4, 2023, to support students and teachers, as well as to provide financial support to the Academy.

During the meeting of the head and administration of the KhSAC with Mr. Urban, all areas of activity of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture were presented, problematic issues related to the need of the higher education institution to restore infrastructure after the end of the war were discussed (repair of affected premises, installation of windows in dormitories, arrangement of shelters) and improvement of the material support of the educational process (updating musical instruments, computers, etc.),perspective directions of international cooperation and mutual exchange in the context of the mobility program between the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts were discussed.
Thanks to the help provided by Mr. Urban, the Academy purchased a server and a set of software.

In the summer, Mr. Urban came to the Hero City of Kharkiv for the filming of a documentary film about the defenders of the city and cultural life during the war and became an honored guest at the art event "The Art of the Unbreakable", which took place in the KhSAC on August 10, 2023.

To Mr. Urban FRAY acting the rector of the KhSAC Natalia RYABUKHA presented thanks for her personal contribution to the support of culture and art education in Kharkiv, as well as charitable assistance to preserve the quality of the educational process in the conditions of aggression from the Russian Federation.

On November 6, 2024, the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture (KHAK) had the honor of hosting Urban Fry from Switzerland for the fourth time, a sincere friend of Ukraine and a well-known philanthropist.
As part of his visit, Mr. Fry presented the Academy with a valuable gift: musical instruments (a violin and two Yamaha digital pianos), as well as a modern video camera. This assistance will be a significant contribution to the development of the creative and educational process, opening up new opportunities for students and teachers.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Over a cup of coffee, they discussed issues of international cooperation, the importance of supporting art education in difficult times, and further prospects for cooperation.
The Kharkiv State Academy of Culture expresses deep gratitude to Urban Fry for his constant support and contribution to the development of culture, education and creativity in Ukraine. His efforts not only contribute to the improvement of the material and technical base of the Academy, but also inspire new achievements in artistic activity.

Oleksiy Yatsyuk - conductor, leader of the "Prostir" choir, student of the department of choral conducting and academic singing of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture.
An important center of unity of Ukrainians who find themselves in a difficult situation is the cultural center "Prostir", founded in the first days of Russia's war against Ukraine by cultural and public figure Urban Fry. The "Prostir" choir was created on the basis of the center under the direction of Oleksiy Yatsyuk, a student of the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture. The main direction of the choir's work is charitable activity. The choir consists mainly of musicians from Ukraine who were accepted to the Higher Music School in Lyutsern. Among the choristers there are also amateurs who are fond of singing. The choir's repertoire includes works by Ukrainian composers, arrangements of Ukrainian folk songs and folk songs, as well as works by Western European composers and traditional Swiss folk songs. And although the choir has only existed for a few months, thanks to its professional work, it has been able to create a significant repertoire in order to present the wonderful and diverse choral culture of Ukraine.

The power of art for Mr. Oleksiy is not just words, but the realization of significant volunteer work that he carries out within the framework of the center's activities, as well as outside it. Mr. was not left. Yatsyuk is also aloof from the problems of the KhDAK, because academic unity in the conditions of war is extremely important.
At the art event of the KhSAC "Art of the Unbreakable" acting rector, doctor of art history, associate professor Natalia RYABUKHA presented Mr. Thanks to Oleksiy YATSYUK for charitable assistance to the Academy, a personal contribution to the joint support of the cultural and artistic front and national resistance to the military aggression of the Russian Federation was presented, which was accepted by the deputy director for educational work of the Kharkiv State Music LyceumTetyana Yatsyuk.
