NON-FORMAL EDICATION


Non-formal education - the process of obtaining education that is not regulated by the place, term and form of education and does not imply obtaining documents on education of the state standard.
The scope of non-formal education includes individual classes (certificate programs, trainings, short-term courses, summer schools, etc., under the guidance of coaches, tutors and other specialists) that have practical short-term goals. In most cases, informal training involves the receipt by students of relevant practical and theoretical knowledge, skills, mastering modern methods of solving professional problems, increasing the level of their professional competence, improving existing knowledge and their self-development.
For choreographers, informal education includes: workshops on various types of choreographic art, master classes of leading specialists in choreographic art, scientific-practical and scientific-theoretical conferences aimed at increasing knowledge in the field of choreography, festivals-competitions and other events that can confirm the acquisition and improvement of professional competencies.
All wishing, regardless of their age, gender or level of professional skills have the opportunity to receive non-formal education. It should be noted that the results of training obtained in this case can be re-scored to applicants for education in their formal training. That is, applicants have the opportunity to count on a partial and/or complete rewrite of the results of non-formal education.
The results of training obtained through non-formal education are recognized in the system of formal education in the manner prescribed by law, and the procedures for their recognition are described Regulation on the Procedure for Recognition of Learning Outcomes Obtained through Informal and/or Informational Education at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture

Platforms offering non-formal education in choreographic art and pedagogy

Prometheus — Ukrainian MOOC, which allows you to create online courses for free, provided high-quality and relevant to the values of the resource content.

Coursera — offers its users hundreds of free online courses in various disciplines, in case of successful completion of which the user receives a certificate of completion of the course. Coursera cooperates with universities around the world to teach courses of these educational institutions online. Currently, courses are offered in the following areas: engineering, humanities, medicine, biology, social sciences, mathematics, business, computer science and others.

ВУМ online — civic education platform that creates online courses for the development of Ukrainian society. The platform was created on the basis of the educational project "Open University of Maidan".

EdEra — online education studio. The team creates online courses, special projects, interactive textbooks and educational blogs. Makes online education in Ukraine quality and affordable.

Ukrainian Leadership Academy — A 10-month non-formal education program for school graduates (aged 16 to 20 years), based on a combination of elements of physical, emotional and intellectual development. Examples of courses: financial management, history of Ukraine, psychology of relations, cooking, project management. The program also includes expeditions to Ukraine, research of Israel and Europe.

Insha Osvita — Ukrainian non-governmental organization working according to the standards of non-formal education in Germany "Theodor Heuss Kolleg" and conducting professional courses for teachers on compliance with the quality standards of non-formal education.

Charitable organization «Charitable Foundation "ProOsvita"» — is engaged in the development of civic education in small towns and villages of Ukraine, seeing this as a guarantee of increasing the overall level of education of the nation. The mission of the ProOsvita organization is to create appropriate conditions for the formation and development of a democratic civic culture among children and youth of small settlements of Ukraine.
