These are deep words, which are gaining special meaning today. We also live in times of war, but when approving the Kharkiv budget, we did not cut a penny for culture. I thank everyone who gives people strength, energy and inspiration. Your job is to support our city, which believes in victory and reconstruction. I congratulate you on your anniversary and thank you for what you do for Kharkiv and Ukraine," said the mayor.

"This anniversary marks an entire era inscribed in the history of our country. This is a long historical path from the origins to the present - from Bursa to the Academy, which has become a center of unity, creativity and inspiration.
Culture is the basis of our existence. This is what makes us people, a people, a nation. When the enemy tries to destroy our cities, the future, it is culture that protects us from the inside. This is our domestic front, our weapon, our voice in the world.
Now the whole country is going through the darkest times. But the darkness disappears when the light that is carried by our people, artists, students, heroes on the front and in the rear is lit.
The Kharkiv State Academy of Culture has been lighting the light of Ukrainian culture and art for 95 years. Our teachers are architects of the spirit. Our students are lights that tell the world who we are through music, dance, speech, and stage.
War should not stop art. On the contrary, right now it should sound louder. Because when chaos reigns in the world, culture unites people, gives them strength and hope.
Today, there were representatives from various fields in the hall, but we are united by one dream: to see Ukraine free, peaceful, and flourishing.
I want to thank everyone who creates and continues to create our history. Thank you to teachers, students, graduates, friends and partners, colleagues!
Separate words of gratitude to our military, who give us the opportunity to work, create and celebrate today.
Very warm words of gratitude to our mayor, Igor Oleksandrovych Terekhov and his team for how selflessly and persistently, with love, they protect Kharkiv and unite Kharkiv residents.
95 years is just the beginning of dreams. Ahead - new challenges, peaks and victories. Let this anniversary be a reminder for all of us: culture is our heart, which always beats in unison with Ukraine.
